Meet Dr. Shahrokh Bagheri

The emphasis in my practice is communication with my patients. To care for people, it is essential to see things from their perspective. Only then can one embark on a successful treatment.

Dr. Shahrokh Bagheri completed his undergraduate training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. He received his DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (cum laude) as class marshall and with multiple awards. As part of his training he also completed the general practice residency training at the Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He then moved to Atlanta to attend Emory University where he completed his MD at Emory Medical School and his advanced residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and internship in General Surgery. He subsequently completed his fellowship training in Cranio-Maxillofacial Trauma and Facial Cosmetic Surgery under the proctorship of several established surgeons in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Bagheri has extensive research and academic interests and has presented multiple articles at national meetings. He is actively engaged in research projects involving different aspects of maxillofacial surgery. He is the current Chair of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Northside Hospital, and is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine in the department of surgery. He speaks four languages (English, Spanish, Persian and French) and relates that the most important and rewarding part of his work is the care of his patients.
